The 4th Sunday of Lent

March 31, 2019

This week we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Lent.  Luke’s Gospel of the Prodigal Son is a parable of new beginnings – the relationship with the “lost” son is restored and it is time for rejoicing.  How can we rejoice in our relationships with others?  Are there people that we need to reconcile with or “begin again?”

The Responsorial Psalm - “Taste & See the Goodness of the Lord” - invites us each to enter into relationship with God and receive the blessings that come from restored peace in our lives.  We must “Look to him that you may be radiant with joy.”   Our journey towards Easter and the resurrection continues – how joyous are we toward others?   Are we spending time with God?
