The 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

This week we celebrate the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time.  Have you ever looked back on your life and remembered moments that were embarrassing or you have felt guilty about something that you have done?  The Readings this week recall events from the time of Moses, Paul’s explanation to Timothy of his sinfulness, and the three parables in the Gospel that demonstrate God’s love and forgiveness.

Each one of us needs to be forgiven for our actions in life towards others.  We must also forgive others who have offended us.  Sometimes we hold onto grievances that only harm us and others have forgotten.  Take time this week to reflect on what we are holding in our hearts – can we let go of our grievances and free ourselves as we journey towards peace within ourselves and towards others?  Take time…

I am taking a few days off and will not be here next week-end.  In case of emergency please call the office or my cell phone:  989-287-0089.
